BEACHES AND BEACH CLUBS
|
|
There are sandy beaches
either side of the Port served by bars, cafes and world class beach
clubs. A lovely promenade stretches to the east of the port leading
to Marbella and a walkway to the west of the port leading to San
Pedro.
The beaches and
promenade leading to Marbella can be accessed by taking the local
bus just outside the complex. If you have a car there are parking
places to the east and west of the port.
The
closest beach is Playa de Levante just to the east side of the Port,
beyond this just across the
wooden suspension bridge
is Playa Rio Verde. These beaches
boast fine sand and a protected cove . The water is calm, shallow and warm.
There are
beach cafes and restaurants with sunbeds plus all the Puerto Banus facilities closeby.
If you are feeling very energetic, excercise equipment
can be found at several
locations along the route or you can walk
along the promenade into Marbella.

Victors
beach to the east of Puerto Banus, on the road to Marbella has
plenty of free shady parking. There is a beach bar with great
sunset views, Mediterranean food for 12 Euros a head, live music starting late afternoon Sundays, water sports and aromatherapy massage, during the summer months. There are good
beaches all along this stretch, with plenty of
cafes
and restaurants towards the Marbella end. Inflatable beach toys, beach mats, a sun
umbrella, windbreak and cooler box are available at the apartment
